Hi there! I'm Marta, the founder of Non Manon. I started a vintage-inspired clothing brand for people who want to build a wardrobe of timeless, colorful treasures they'll one day pass onto their loved ones.

Some of my favorite memories revolve around clothes I inherited: I remember hanging out with my high school friends while wearing my mom's daisy dress from the 80s, raiding my grandmother's closet on endless sunday afternoons, and facing many cold winters with a giant fake fur coat my dad brought from Venezuela.

There's something undeniably special about wearing clothes that once belonged to someone you love. They're the treasures that will forever remind you of places, moments and people - and even when you can't wear them anymore, it'll be hard to part ways.

As I watched my brand new, fast-fashion-cheap clothes disintegrate a few months after purchasing them, I realized that I'd probably never have those timeless, high quality staples to one day pass on to future children or friends. At the same time, I couldn't find a sustainable brand that made colorful, high quality garments that would stand the test of time (and trends!) without feeling outdated. So I created Non Manon.

Non Manon creates fun, yet timeless designs for people who want to invest in long-lasting garments without compromising their individual sense of style. My colorful, vintage-inspired clothes are classics in their own right, and living proof that timeless doesn't have to mean boring.

For a long time, we've been told that timelessness is achieved by purchasing simple, neutral-toned clothes - bright colors, prints and sequins aren't supposed to stay in our closets forever. Non Manon wants to challenge that mindset, and create fun, fabulous classics for people who love color today, and will still love it in two or three decades. We create wardrobe staples for those who want to become their brave, bold future selves today, and could use a little sartorial push to do so.

From my tiny studio apartment in Lisbon, I design every piece, manage the business, create content for social media and ship each and every one of your orders. Seamstress Maria Beatriz and pattern-maker Susana, the two talented ladies who help me produce the designs, live relatively near me, so we meet all the time to discuss collections and alterations.

I launch one design at a time, using deadstock and sustainable fabrics. Most pieces are made to order, which means we need a few weeks to make them and ship them your way. The best part is that this means there's no waste, and we can make them made-to-measure if you want to! Everything is handmade and the editions are very limited, ranging from 2 to 20 exclusive units per fabric.

My goals for the future include making sustainability mainstream (while keeping it special and exclusive with my limited editions!), educating customers about ethical fashion, and growing my brand by employing more and more incredible people as time goes by. The number one goal, though, is to create unique clothes that make you feel like a billion bucks.🧡
